Mentoring Programme

If you think that one-to-one professional discussion and feedback sound fascinating and challenging, then Pharmadanmark’s mentoring program might suit you.
The purpose of the program is to create networking relationships across seniority and fields of work. There are great opportunities for mutual benefit. On the one hand, the mentor shares his or her knowledge, at the same time as being challenged by a ‘new generation’. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the mentee is assisted in his or her progress.

Who can benefit from the programme?
A mentoring programme involves the interaction between two individuals: the more experienced of the two, the mentor, and the one who is seeking a sounding board to assist with his or her career development, the mentee. Everything is based on a shared framework of references. The mentor shares his or her experiences, listens, asks questions and helps the mentee to help him/herself. The mentee gains greater insight and an opportunity for personal development and career development. Meanwhile, the mentor develops his or her communication and counselling skills and is challenged by the mentee’s worldview. A mentoring programme in Pharmadanmark runs for a year. In other words, there is plenty of time to take an in-depth look at the mentee’s development processes.

As a mentee
To become a mentee, you have to want to discuss and work on the development of your career. You will be expected to drive the process forward. The relationship is there for your benefit, which also makes it your responsibility. You can receive feedback on, and new input into your career, your professional personality and the development of your current, and maybe even new competencies.

As a mentor
You do not necessarily have to be an expert, but you must be open, attentive and willing to share your experiences. As a mentor, you can use the relationship to develop your skills as a leader and counsellor, to improve the way you share experience, and to develop your network. In addition, the relationship can provide you with new angles from younger talents in the pharmaceutical sector.

How do I sign up?
Registration closes on 9 August 2019.
If you are matched with a mentor/mentee, you will be invited for a kick-off meeting on 26 August 2019. Save the date! The meeting is conducted in Danish but if your Danish skills don’t suffice, we will find a solution. Just let us know.

Questions?
Please contact career consultant Iben Treebak on ibt@pharmadanmark.dk or 39 46 36 18 if you have any questions relating to the programme.
