Pharmadanmark and The Danish Veterinary Association cooperate in a new strong structure

Pharmadanmark and the Danish Veterinary Association are joining forces in a new joint secretariat, which will service the two independent associations. The new structure will provide greater opportunities to develop membership services and make the associations more robust. Both associations retain their own political leadership and membership, and each association thus retains its identity.

"It is good for the members, it is good for our associations – together we will be better equipped in a time where the competition is tough – both in terms of the political agenda and in terms of competition from other trade unions. I believe that there is a bright future for our two highly specialized associations, when we cooperate politically and professionally. Hopefully we can teach each other something, ”says Rikke Løvig Simonsen, chairman of Pharmadanmark.

The collaboration starts on 1th of September 2021, when Pharmadanmark moves from Rygaards Allé in Hellerup to a new common domicile in Codanhus in Frederiksberg. Here we will have common meeting facilities and large rooms where member events can be held. In addition, it is easy to get there both by car and by public transport.

The Danish Veterinary Association (DVA) is a professional organization for all veterinarians in Denmark, e.g. practitioners, state veterinary officers, food hygienists, researchers, educators and veterinarians in the private sector. In total approximately 90 percent of all veterinarians in Denmark are members of the DVA.
