Pharmadanmark’s executive board
The executive board leads the way politically and strategically.
Pharmadanmark’s executive board is responsible for shaping the political direction of the association and overseeing its overall operations and finances.

This ensures that decisions reflect the diverse interests of our members.
Acting on behalf of the association
Members of the executive board also represent Pharmadanmark externally—at conferences, in professional forums, and in relevant committees both in Denmark and internationally.
How the executive board is composed
Pharmadanmark’s executive board consists of nine members:
- Seven members are elected directly by and among the association’s members.
- One member is elected by Pharmadanmark’s student community.
- The chairperson of Pharmadanmark also serves as chair of the executive board.
The chairperson is elected for a two-year term. All other board members are elected for two years within their respective sections, with the possibility of re-election.
The Representative Council is the highest authority in Pharmadanmark.
Our Representative Council plays a crucial role in shaping the direction and decisions of Pharmadanmark. It is made up of members from the Executive Board and representatives from the various sections that reflect our active members. Additionally, five student representatives are appointed by the student section.
In total, the Representative Council currently consists of 65 members.
Who can attend?
All union members – and others invited by the Executive Board – are welcome to attend the annual Representative Council meeting. Every member has the right to speak, but only council members have the right to vote.
When is the meeting held?
The ordinary Representative Council meeting takes place every year in November. Extraordinary meetings can also be held when deemed necessary by either the council itself or the Executive Board.

Every year, your Section holds a general meeting. Here, members elect the Section board and the Section’s representatives to the national assembly. This gives you the chance to actively shape your professional community within Pharmadanmark.
