3,379 participants from 101 countries – the highest attendance ever – took part in the congress, which was filled with insightful presentations, engaging debates, exciting posters, and valuable networking.
Over the course of the five days, many topics were on the agenda – including antimicrobial resistance (AMR), CRISPR technology, data sharing, and the potential of AI.
The Minister of the Interior and Health, Sophie Løhde, opened the congress on the first scientific day, emphasising the important role Denmark plays in the global life science sector and, in particular, in the fight against AMR.
The day concluded with 75 FIP member organisations signing a joint declaration aimed at combating antibiotic resistance.
In 2026, FIP’s congress will be held in Montreal, Canada.
