Community pharmacy pharmacists
As a community pharmacy pharmacist, your collective agreement includes both the right and obligation to participate in a professional network. Get a clear overview of the rules, conditions, and how network meetings work in practice.
As a community pharmacy pharmacist, participation in a professional network is a formal part of your collective agreement.
You are both entitled and required to take part in network meetings four times a year.
These networks strengthen your professional development and give you the opportunity to exchange knowledge and gain professional sparring with other pharmacists. At the same time, participation is part of your working hours – and you are paid as usual.
How often do you need to participate?
You must attend network meetings with other community pharmacy pharmacists at least four times a year.
On these days, you are scheduled out of your normal rota, but you continue to receive your regular salary.
Who is required to participate?
You are covered by the network scheme if you are employed as a community pharmacy pharmacist under a collective agreement.
Pharmacists working more than 65 hours per month participate on equal terms – regardless of whether you are employed full-time or part-time.
What are the conditions for network participation?
Network activities are regulated by the collective agreement and include the following:
You participate at least one day per quarter
Meetings take place within your local region or local area
The pharmacy owner covers your travel expenses
An agenda and minutes are prepared for each meeting
Meetings outside your local area require approval from the pharmacy owner
What if the meeting takes place outside your working hours?
Network meetings do not entitle you to time off in lieu or additional leave.
This also applies if the meeting takes place on a day off or outside your normal working hours.
Stay connected
All networks have their own digital networking space, where you can communicate and share documents with each other.
You can find the networking space on My Page.
