You are entitled to a contract if you work more than eight hours per week and are employed for more than one month. This applies to both public and private employment.
When should you receive a contract?
You must receive a written employment contract no later than one month after starting your job.

What must your employment contract include?
According to Danish law, your contract must include at least:
Names and addresses of you and your employer
Your workplace (address)
Your job title and a short job description
Start date of employment
Duration (if fixed-term employment)
Your holiday rights and any additional leave
Notice periods
Salary, supplements, and payment schedule
Your daily or weekly working hours
Whether you are covered by a collective agreement or other arrangements
For some points – such as holiday, notice, salary, and working hours – the contract may refer to applicable legislation, collective agreements, or internal policies.
