Holiday allowance
If you receive paid holiday, you are generally entitled to holiday allowance. Here you can see your minimum entitlement and when it is paid.
If you receive paid holiday, you are also entitled to holiday allowance. The minimum holiday allowance is 1% of your holiday-eligible salary. Some employees are entitled to a higher allowance through a collective agreement or an individual contract.
You should therefore check your employment terms to understand your entitlement.
Holiday allowance is generally paid twice a year together with your salary – in May and August.
The payment you receive in May covers the period from 1 September to 31 May.
The payment you receive in August covers the period from 1 June to 31 August.
