Unemployment scheme

What to know as an unemployment scheme recipient

Once you have been granted PDA support, there are several important conditions and deadlines you must meet to receive payments. Remember, you must be actively seeking work to remain eligible for PDA support.

Pharmadanmark’s unemployment scheme provides a financial supplement to unemployment benefits if you become involuntarily unemployed.

If you would like to learn more about the scheme, eligibility and benefit levels, we have gathered all the information for you at the link below.

Report every month

Once your PDA application has been approved, you must submit a monthly report to receive your PDA payments.

It is important that you always submit a report even if you are on holiday otherwise you risk losing your entitlement to up to 52 weeks of support.

If you have had part-time work, you must also report your working hours.

Holiday days and working hours are deducted from your PDA benefit. Full weeks without PDA payments extend your total support period accordingly.

On the first day of each month, you will receive a reporting link by email. The link is also always available on My page under Messages.

In your report, you must:

  • Indicate whether you have started a new job (yes/no)

  • Record working hours and workplace if you have worked part-time

  • Record holiday, leave or other breaks from PDA

  • Confirm that the information is correct by approving the declaration of truth

When you click Save, your report is submitted to Pharmadanmark, and you will receive a confirmation email.

The reporting form remains open for editing until the deadline. Remember to save each time you make changes. You will receive a confirmation email every time you save your report.

PDA periods differ from unemployment insurance fund periods

PDA payments are made in periods of four or five weeks. These periods differ from those used by unemployment insurance funds.

The PDA reporting deadline is typically mid-month, and payments are available on the last banking day of the month. You will receive a statement showing your PDA payment via e-Boks.

Important information about deadlines

It is crucial that you meet reporting deadlines, since, in the worst case, you risk losing your support.

To receive PDA payments at the end of the month, you must meet the reporting deadline, which is always the last day of the PDA period and which always falls mid-month.

If you miss the period deadline, you can still submit your report until the last day of the month. In this case, payment for the period will be made together with the next PDA period at the end of the following month.

The last day of the month is the final deadline. If you miss this deadline, you will not receive support for that period.
