Agreements and terms in the various employment areas
As employed at a pharmacy you are covered by the collective agreement between Pharmadanmark and the The Association of Danish Pharmacies. This means that most of your terms of employment are predetermined.
Elements such as qualification and function supplements are not predetermined, but up to individual negotiation.
Salary for pharmacy employees
The salary system consists of the scale salary and the supplements stipulated in the agreement (seniority supplement and any availability supplement) as well as New Salary.

Pharmacist with patient care
If you are a trained pharmacist with responsibility for patient care and employed at a pharmacy you are covered by the rules on affiliation with companies.

If you are employed in a pharmaceutical company you will be subject to the affiliation rules if you take shifts at a pharmacy. This means that it requires prior permission from the Danish Medicines Agency.

A large part of Pharmadanmark's members are employed in andwork with life science in the private sector. Only a few employees in the private sector are covered by a collective agreement, and therefore private employees are particularly dependent on their individual terms of employment.

If you are employed by one of the following companies, you will in principle be covered by a collective agreement. As a leader, however, you may be exempt.

Wage statistics in the private sector
In the private sector, there is basically no minimum wage. This means that you have to negotiate the desired salary yourself. Pharmadanmark's legal department will gladly help prepare you for your salary negotiation. As part of the preparation, Pharmadanmark's salary statistics are a particularly important tool, as they can be used as a guideline for you in your salary negotiations.

Salary as a public employee
The public sector has switched to new wages. This means that the salary consists of a fixed part, which is stated in the collective agreement, and supplements, which are agreed individually.

Union representatives
In many public workplaces, a local union representative has been elected. The union representative is ready to help you if you are to be hired, have questions about pay, rules and procedures at the workplace.
Although the conditions for younger researchers largely follow the conditions for employment in the public sector, there are also a number of special conditions.
University
Many complete the PhD program in an employment relationship, where they are employed as a PhD fellow and enrolled at a university. If the university has advertised a vacant scholarship, it is the university that finances your salary as a PhD student.
The salary is determined in accordance with the AC agreement in the state.
Industrial PhD
As a Business PhD, you are enrolled at a university, at the same time as you are employed in a private or public company. The Industrial PhD scheme has a special business-oriented aim, and the company can receive a subsidy for your salary while you complete the project.
A special employment agreement must be entered into with the company, which bears the cost of your salary. The Industrial PhD scheme belongs to the Innovation Fund.
Hospital (region)
Within the health sector - typically at the hospitals - there are practices for arrangements where employees are enrolled at a university for the purpose of writing a PhD. As a Ph.D. at a hospital, your pay and employment conditions follow the AC agreement in the regions.
Municipality
Upon employment as a Ph.D. in a municipality, your salary and employment conditions follow the AC agreement in the municipalities.
Vocational College
The vocational university colleges have the opportunity to solve research assignments. It has therefore become possible for lecturers to take a PhD degree in collaboration with the universities. This type of PhD study can both be fully funded by the vocational university college or co-financed with a university.
