Dear member,
I hope you've had a wonderful summer with time to relax and recharge. Fortunately, I have too – and now I'm looking forward to everything ahead of us in Pharmadanmark.
Recently, the Life Science sector has been experiencing change and uncertainty. We’re seeing this clearly in the number of inquiries currently coming into both our legal department and career counseling.
We are closely monitoring developments and understand how they affect our field and the companies within it. That’s why we’re ready to support you – whether you need legal advice, negotiation expertise, career guidance, or simply a confidential conversation. Don’t hesitate to reach out – we’re here to help you..
Already at the end of August, we will welcome our international organisation FIP to Denmark for the first time in over 40 years. We’re expecting more than 3,000 participants from over 100 countries! I’ll be attending, of course – and especially Monday will be exciting, as we focus on antimicrobial resistance together with, among others, the Minister for the Interior and Health, Sophie Løhde. It will be a week full of new knowledge and inspiration from around the world.

In November, we’ll host the next edition of Life Science Talks, our new professional conference concept offering strong academic content and broader perspectives. The first edition in May on radiological medicines was a great success with 250 participants.
Later this autumn, we will hold elections for the Executive Board – and if the election is contested, the process will be concluded by October 15 at the latest.
In November, we’ll also hold the General Assembly, which includes the election of the Chair. I’ve already been asked a few times whether I’ll be running again, so here’s my answer: Yes, I’m standing for re-election as Chair.
Alongside these major events, plenty of other good things are happening at Pharmadanmark – lectures, tours, networking events, webinars, and more. You can always find the updated event calendar here.
We’ve also launched a new website, which went live at the end of June. It’s being continuously developed and marks the first step in a digital upgrade that will include tailored digital newsletters for individual members. It should all come together when we launch a new membership system around the turn of the year.
All of this is based on your input – especially from the media survey we sent out last autumn. Many of you wanted more targeted and digital communication. That only works digitally, not on paper. We've taken your feedback seriously: we’re now producing more digital news and content, while scaling back printed materials. However, we’re keeping the printed Pharma magazine twice a year – and we’ll give it some extra love to make it a publication you’ll want to keep and revisit. You’ll receive the traditional Pharma in your mailbox in October, and the first edition of the new Pharma will be published in December.
I hope you’ll welcome this new way of communicating – and that you find it more cohesive, better targeted to you, and ultimately makes your membership even more valuable.
