Important to Know as a PDA Recipient

When you are granted support from PDA, there are a number of conditions you should be aware of, as well as important deadlines you must meet in order to receive payment. Please note that you must be actively seeking employment to be eligible for support.

Important to know as a PDA rcecipient

Once your application for PDA salary insurance has been approved, there are a few key things you need to know—and important deadlines you must follow to continue receiving your payments.

Monthly reporting is mandatory

If you’re receiving salary insurance through PDA, you are required to submit a monthly report to receive your payment. This applies even during holidays or breaks. If you fail to report, you risk losing your right to up to 52 weeks of support.

You must also:

  • Report any working hours

  • Report vacation, leave, or other breaks from PDA

  • Note that reported hours will be deducted from your benefit

  • Breaks will extend your eligibility period instead of using support weeks

Remember: You must be actively seeking employment to remain eligible for salary insurance.

How to report each month

You’ll receive a personal reporting link via email on the 1st of each month. The link is also available on Min side under Messages.

In your monthly report, you must:

  • Indicate if you’ve started a new job (Yes/No)

  • Enter hours worked and work location by date

  • Register vacation, leave, or breaks by using the “PDA pause” button on the relevant days

  • Confirm all details by checking the Declaration of Truth and Honesty

Once you click “Save”, your report is sent to Pharmadanmark. You’ll receive a confirmation email.

You can edit your report up until the deadline. Each time you save, you’ll receive a new confirmation.

PDA periods are not the same as your unemployment fund

Salary insurance payouts are made in 4- or 5-week periods, which do not match those of traditional unemployment funds (a-kasser). PDA’s reporting deadlines are usually mid-month, and payments are made on the last banking day of the month. You’ll receive a payslip via e-Boks.

Don’t miss your PDA deadline

To receive your PDA salary insurance payout at the end of the month, you must meet the deadline—which is always the last day of the PDA period and usually falls mid-month.

  • If you miss the period deadline, you can still report up to the last calendar day of the month

  • However, your payment will then be delayed and disbursed with the next period’s payout

If you miss the final deadline on the last day of the month, you will lose the benefit for that period entirely
